Healthy Zen is a lifestyle. It’s not just about your yoga practice, or your dietary choices, but everything in life can be part of your Healthy Zen mentality.
I recently saw one of my favorite authors speak here in Santa Barbara, who wrote one of the staple books in the Healthy Zen library.
Elizabeth Gilbert, most known for Eat Pray Love, is one incredible woman.
One of my favorite books, which I gave to my daughter for her graduation, is Gilbert’s Big Magic. Creative Living Beyond Fear. This book is all about getting the courage to live a creative life. That doesn’t necessarily mean a career in the arts, she’s quick to point out (“If you’re alive, you’re a creative person,” she states); instead, she proposes a life fueled by curiosity rather than fear.
To give you a little taste of her words of wisdom:
“Be Brave. Without bravery you will never know the world as richly as it long to be known. Without bravery, your life will remain small – far smaller than you probably wanted your life to be.”
Expand your mind, expand your heart, be brave!
