Nut Milk

Nut Milk

Store bought nut milk often has unneeded additives, so why not make your own? It’s easier than you may think and much more fresh. Just follow the recipe below and feel free to sub in any kind of nut (almond, cashew, pecan).

Ingredients

  • 1 C almonds or Cashews
  • 2 whole dates pitted
  • ½ vanilla bean
  • cinnamon
  • cacao powder

Instructions

  • Soak nuts overnight
  • Strain in colander
  • Put 1 C soaked nuts and 3 C water in blender or vitamix
  • Add vanilla bean, cinnamon, or cacao powder (optional)
  • Store in nut milk bag or colander
