Red White and Blue Smoothie

As 4th of July is in sight, I felt that a festive and Healthy Zen style dessert was a perfect treat!



  • Mixed berries (organic fresh or frozen)
  • Banana
  • Coconut Water


Not only is it a delicious nutritious option, but has many health benefits as well.


Blueberries are packed with antioxidants that may help keep memory sharp, and raspberries contain ellagic acid, a compound with anti-cancer properties.


Bananas are loaded with potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B-6, manganese, fiber, and even iron.


Lastly, coconut water has many health benefits as it is a rich source of potassium, manganese, magnesium, folate, and calcium. Also, while it is high in fat, the medium chain fatty acids of the saturated fat in coconut oil and coconut water are very good for you!


With warm weather and energy of summer all around, a red, white, and blue smoothie is a perfect “dessert” that’s completely clean and beneficial for your body!
